Template and EasyStore Updates
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Updating the template or EasyStore does not remove MuRu Cart Plus, and it should not break the shop either.
Why it survives updates
- It is its own plugin with its own files, media folder and settings.
- It uses no template overrides. Overrides live in the template folder, so a template update or switch can lose them.
- It never edits EasyStore. An EasyStore update replaces EasyStore's folders and finds nothing of ours there.
If the markup changes
MuRu Cart Plus finds its places on the page by EasyStore's own class names. If an update renames one of them, the part that depends on it switches itself off and the page loads as normal. It does not show errors to visitors.
After an update, check it
- Open a product page, the cart drawer and checkout once.
- Or open the browser console (F12) and type
MuRuCartPlus.status(). Each part should sayok, oroffif you switched it off.
