Why sites use MuRu Reviews
Google reviews, end to end
Connect your Business Profile once and show reviews anywhere, free: rating, text, author, avatar and date.
Every other source in Pro
Trustpilot, Facebook, Tripadvisor, Yelp, G2, JED and Capterra, combined into one weighted rating with a per-source breakdown.
11 layouts
Cards, Carousel and List in Free; Masonry, Testimonial, Badge, Slider, Minimal, Dark, Summary and Wall of love in Pro.
Four ways to place them
A module, a shortcode in articles, a menu page, or an SP Page Builder addon, all from one setup.
Fast and cached
Reviews are fetched server-side and cached, so your pages never wait on a review API.
You stay in control
Pro adds date, source and location filters and one-click moderation to hide any review everywhere.
See it in action
Real views from the visitor side.

The homepage classic: a responsive grid of review cards with stars, avatars, and Google attribution under a 4.8 rating summary.
Show your reviews in 3 steps
- 1
Install in ~2 minutes
Install the bundle zip from System > Install Extensions -- component, module, shortcode plugin, and SP Page Builder addon in one go. Then enable the two plugins under System > Manage > Plugins.
- 2
Connect Google once
Open Components > MuRu Reviews > Settings, paste your Google Place ID and API key, pick a layout and count, and hit Refresh Now on the dashboard. Your average rating, total count, and reviews appear.
- 3
Publish anywhere
Drop a module in any position, a {murureviews} shortcode in any article, a full-page menu item, or the MuRu Reviews addon in SP Page Builder -- all four read the same data, so they never disagree.

Keyword, source, location & date filtersPro
Search review text, narrow by one or several sources, pick a branch, or show only the last 7 days to 12 months -- on every path.

What's new
Version 1.1.0 · 15 October 2026
- Every source is live (Pro) — Trustpilot, Facebook, Tripadvisor, Yelp, and G2 connect through their official APIs; JED and Capterra take pasted JSON because neither has a public reviews API. A failing source shows a warning and never discards the rest.
- One aggregated rating (Pro) — A weighted average across all sources with a per-source breakdown chip row, and an attribution line that credits and links every source.
- Multiple Google locations (Pro) — Add extra Place IDs with labels. Each review shows its location, and a location filter shows a single branch.
- Date, source & location filters (Pro) — Show only the last 7 days to 12 months, one or several sources (
source="yelp,g2"), or one branch -- on the module, shortcode, menu page, and SPPB addon. - Review moderation (Pro) — Hide or show any review from the dashboard; hidden reviews vanish from every display path and survive refreshes and updates.
- Five new layouts (Pro) — Slider, Minimal, Dark, Summary (rating distribution), and Wall of love join Masonry, Testimonial, and Badge -- 11 layouts in total with Cards, List, and the Basic carousel.
Requirements
- Joomla 5 or 6
- PHP 8.1 or newer
- SP Page Builder 4, 5 or 6 for the addon (optional)
- Google Places API key for Google reviews
